Western Growers 93rd Annual Meeting
The Prophet Team were delighted to be a Sponsor at the Western Growers Annual Meeting. Workshops on the first day ranged from the fun of Sushi Rolling, to a fascinating session on Genomics led by Juan Enriquez, not to mention the PAC lunch, with Andrew Napolitano.
We were fortunate to be able to congratulate the new Chairman of Western Growers, Ron Ratto, along with Gary York from Robinson Fresh. The Party with the Partners was a lovely event, with a ‘Grow ‘n Glow’ festival theme – even the table decorations were thoughtfully relevant. Day Two saw more exciting sessions, kicking off with the AgSharks, a groundbreaking collaborative forum to advance agricultural technologies for the fresh produce industry.
The Chairman’s lunch, hosted by Craig Reade, was fantastic. Keynote Speaker Robert O’Neill, former SEAL Team Six Leader, inspired the audience with his insights on leadership, decision making and never quitting. The last Workshop, Changing Mindsets to Influence Results, was equally thought provoking.
Paul, Claire, Mick and Mark thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Western Growers Annual Meeting and engaging with key decision makers in the fresh produce industry.
We would like to thank and congratulate outgoing Chairman Craig Reade and Tom Nassif, President and CEO, Western Growers, and his Team for this excellent event. Last, but by no means least, a huge congratulations to Stephen Patricio, the deserving Award of Honor recipient. In Stephen’s honor a wonderful Dinner and Gala was held, with entertainer Jon Dorenbos.
As the sun set at Palm Desert, we very much look forward to next years’ event in Maui.
