Student talent adds value to User Convention
Four students from Bath Spa University joined Prophet for their 2019 User Convention to form the Social Media Team for the event. The University encourages all of its students, regardless of degree programme, to undertake a period of high quality, meaningful work experience, which the Prophet team provided.
Mentored by Claire Powell and Suzi Boddy, the aim was to add some new and exciting components to our convention – an aim which was certainly achieved.
Jessie photographed the event, capturing beautifully the event atmosphere, and collaborating with Katie to create social media posts on Twitter and LinkedIn to share the highlights across the two days.
‘Vox pop’ interviews were conducted by Edd to capture great conversations with customers and colleagues. While Will filmed the presentations and used his skills to create a lovely short promotional video.
The two days were non-stop for the students as they made the most of this exciting opportunity. The experience gained from completing a placement at an established business event is one that will provide future skills for working in their chosen industries, while the insight has proven to be personally beneficial for each individual.
