Briefing from the White House Staff and meeting Senators

Another informative and inspiring day was spent in Washington DC yesterday attending the final day of the United Fresh Washington Policy Conference.

After attending a General Session Breakfast yesterday morning to hear the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, Sonny Perdue, address the produce industry’s most pressing issues, from immigration reform and the need for a stable, legal workforce, to expanding fresh produce access for all Americans; Claire joined White House staff and Administration officials for a top-level briefing on national policy and agricultural issues at the Old Executive Building in The White House complex. After lunch, Claire attended the March on Capitol Hill: U.S. Senate Congressional Meeting.
