Job Description

PURPOSE

The Project Manager takes full responsibility for managing implementation and workflow projects from design to implementation, in a manner that aligns with Prophets’ vision of delivering effective and professional services to our customers. Manage implementation projects with a specific focus on deliverables, tasks and due dates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership Output

  • Ensure effective knowledge sharing with team members as well as internal teams
  • Examine potential areas for Service Improvement and raise proposals to Management
  • Provide technical leadership

Project Management Duties

  • Ensure all required development and implementation tasks are accurately specified and reflect the agreed workflow as confirmed by Prophet and the client
  • Ensure a project plan is created with agreed dates for each relevant phase of the project
  • Ensuring the project plan is executed with a high level of professionalism and accuracy
  • Ensure the project communication relating to progress and responsibilities is executed with a high level of professionalism and accuracy
  • Ensure implementation is done with adherence to proper testing protocol
  • Assist Support and Development staff with troubleshooting client logs related to projects
  • Ensure constant feedback to sites regarding their implementation and support hours
  • Report any site-specific implementation irregularities immediately to the board and client Project Sponsor
  • Ensure client leadership is actively made aware of strategic system opportunities; the level of training required to further user independence and opportunities/avenues that exist to streamline operational processes
  • Take responsibility for prioritizing tasks in terms of urgency and importance within available resources
  • Take responsibility that all log inquiries/requests are followed up, ensure that client’s needs are met and quality of service delivery is met
  • Take responsibility for ongoing relationship building with the client after services are rendered
  • Prepare progress reports

General

  • Take responsibility for the ongoing improvement of implementation and project management procedures with supporting documentation
  • Take responsibility for the ongoing reporting of any irregularities to the Board of Directors

EXPERIENCE

  • Matric;
  • 3-year Project Management/IT/Business Qualification
  • At least 2 years leading projects
  • Strong technology inclination
  • Strong business acumen
  • Intensive troubleshooting knowledge
  • Previous experience in project or team management is a plus
